Dr. Marcello Sarrica

PT, DPT, OCS, COMT, CSCS

Over the past 20 years in practice, Dr. Marcello Sarrica has successfully treated thousands of orthopedic and sports medicine injuries in patients ranging from 10 to 94 years old.

Dr. Sarrica believes that high-quality, one-on-one physical therapy tailored to each individual’s needs is the most effective way to help patients recover better and faster. In his work with both young and older adults, he is committed to helping people reach their goals safely and confidently. His strong emphasis on patient education empowers individuals to take an active role in their healing and long-term recovery.

Dr. Sarrica earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006 from Long Island University, where he was awarded the department’s highest honor for Clinical Excellence. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He further complements his training as a Maitland Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist and is certified in CPR/AED by the American Heart Association.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sarrica has worked with Balance Integration Corporation, providing physical therapy and strength and conditioning services for Bloomberg Corporation in New York City. He is also a co-author of the chapter “Other Lumbar Spine Disorders” in Therapeutic Programs for Musculoskeletal Disorders (Demos Medical, 2012), a textbook designed for physical therapy residents and fellows.

Outside of the clinic, Marcello enjoys spending time with his family, weight training, and taking long walks with his wife, Patrizia, and their three children, Valentina, Giancarlo, and Arianna.
